Talend Acquires Sopera and Closes $34 Million Financing Round
Talend announced in November 2010 that it had acquired Sopera, a leading provider of open source SOA and middleware platforms, creating a global leader in open source middleware solutions that ranks among the top five global pure play open source vendors.
Simultaneously, Talend completed a $34 million financing round led by Silver Lake Sumeru, a global leader in private investments in middle-market technology companies. Existing Talend investors Balderton Capital and IDInvest Partners (formerly AGF Private Equity) also participated in this round.
The combination of Talend and Sopera creates a global leader in open source middleware solutions, and uniquely positions it to take advantage of the synergies that exist between data management and application integration projects. IT organizations can now leverage a unified global middleware platform that costs far less than proprietary technologies, delivers greater functionality and is easier to deploy and manage. The unified platform will be optimized to seamlessly integrate on-premise data and applications with cloud-based deployments.
With the acquisition, Sopera is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Talend and will become Talends application integration division. Talend will retain Sopera employees and capitalize on their know-how, while investing to accelerate the global expansion of the newly formed division.

Talend Open Studio 4.1.2 is available
Download Talend Open Studio 4.1.2.
In this release, 27 bugs have been fixed including, among other bugs, errors on the tMDMOutput, tStewardshipTaskInput, t_row_generator, bad connection to firebird, Dynamic Schema did not work with Postgres target, country name sent when registring and stats&log missing mssql additional parameter.

Talend Open Profiler 4.1.2 is available
Download Talend Open Profiler 4.1.2.
In this release, 25 bugs have been fixed including, among other bugs, inability to list Teradata tables, sorting schemas into the repository, adding required dependencies tab, comparison analysis cheat sheet does not work, cannot make connection to Ingres Database, inability to scroll to Indicator Parameter in UDI and allow the user to sort data in "View rows" view.
